"NO-SQUEAL" BRAKES - SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT

(Rochester, NH January 11, 2001)-----In response to recent claims by a DFE competitor that the proprietary "No-Squeal" nature of the DFE dual disk brake is the result of using excessively abrasive friction pads, DFE's President, Kenneth Ekola has set the record straight with this statement.

"Contrary to the rumor that one of our unscrupulous competitors is spreading about the 'no-squeal' characteristic of DFE brakes, our brake pad materials are no more abrasive than anyone elses on the market. And they certainly do not quickly wear out the inner surface of the brake disk. This is a bogus claim being spread to pneumatic brake users by a DFE competitor who has no valid premise for attacking the superior performance of DFE's brakes. The lie is a 'sour grapes' reactionary sales tactic that has no basis in reality."
