INTRINSICALLY SAFE TENSION INDICATOR

ROCHESTER, N.H. -- Tension Control manufacturer, Dover Flexo Electronics, announces the release of the FireGuard^TM Intrinsically Safe Tension Indicator. The FireGuard indicator measures tension while providing peace of mind to printers, coaters, laminators and manufacturers whose machines and operators may be exposed to flammable solvent vapor.

The FireGuard is an Intrinsically Safe, UL listed electronic device for measuring process tension from a Class I Division I* manufacturing area. The unit allows connection to tension transducers and a tension display installed in the hazardous area, and FireGuard limits energy delivered into the area below the level required for spark ignition. The FireGuard significantly reduces the risk of fire and explosion when used with Dover's UL approved tension transducers.
