DOVER FLEXO CELEBRATES 25 YEARS

(ROCHESTER, N.H.--March 31, 1999) Tension control equipment manufacturer, Dover Flexo Electronics (DFE), is celebrating its 25th year in business. The company, started by Kenneth Ekola in 1974, has grown steadily over the last decade, doubling the size of its Rochester manufacturing facility two and a half years ago in order to keep pace with demand.

Commenting on how DFE has managed to grow successfully and continuously in a tightly competitive market, Ekola, who still runs the business, claims the philosophy has been "commitment to, and respect for, the needs and desires of our customers, especially where service is concerned. A focus on product reliability and willingness to tackle difficult industry problems and special applications have also been key points of differentiation.

As an example of DFE's commitment to assisting customers, Ekola cites the recent allocation of substantial company resources to resolving the long-standing industry headache of pneumatic brake squeal. After close cooperation with many brake users, DFE is excited to announce the pending release of a "no-squeal" brake product for web machine unwinds.

Dover Flexo is also pleased to be able to back its claim of "reliability leadership" with a new 5 Year Product Warranty on all products. "This is the most durable warranty on tension control equipment to date", reports Mark Breen, DFE's Marketing Manager. The warranty is effective starting April 1st.

The company plans to bolster its competitive position for the future by enhancing its service and quality leadership, by continuing to deliver product innovation, and "by keeping pace with new technologies that make it easier for our customers to get what they want from us," comments Ekola. DFE is developing its web site into an industry resource center, and recently began accepting credit cards for payment. Ekola suggests that the next step is for DFE to bring these tools together so the company can offer its customers e-commerce: on-line ordering, payment and database search capability.
