90 Series Dual Disk Pneumatic Brake
The 90 Series Dual Disk Brake, named
for its nine-inch diameter disks, offers high performance in a torque
range from 14 lb-inches up to 3,000 lb-inches.
As an integral part of a
high-performance unwind package, the 90 series brake delivers the
appropriate torque level needed for a particular application by
allocating actuation of the appropriate number of cylinders, from one
up to four. The term 90 ‘Series’ is derived from ‘9’ inches
plus our use of the second digit in the range of values from 91 to 94
to signify the number of friction pads selected for a given brake.
Aside from their heavy-duty, ductile
iron disk construction and expanded surface for rapid heat
dissipation, 90 Series brakes feature DFE’s time-proven Universal
Actuator technology:
- Hassle-free changeout of worn
pads, without tools, via push-button spring locks
- Limited-travel pistons that can’t
scratch the disk
- Cylinder return springs that
cannot puncture the diaphragm
- Able to be retrofit into dual disk
brakes of other manufacturers
- DFE’s popular ‘No-squeal
Warranty’
SPECIFICATIONS:
- Disk/Hub Inertia 7.9 Slug-in2
- Max. Torque 3,000 in-lbs.
- Disk/Hub Weight 28.4 lbs.
- Max. Ship Wt. 45 lbs.

To see if a brake in the 90 Series is
the right size for your application please note its torque range
listed above and review the 90 Series Brake section of DFE’s full
